About Sonora

Mission

Most navigation apps assume you can see the screen. Sonora is built from the ground up for people who can't, or shouldn't have to. The goal is ambient spatial awareness — not turn-by-turn directions, but an audio sense of where you are and what's around you.

How it works

Sonora uses spatial audio to place nearby points of interest, streets, and landmarks in the direction they actually exist around you. Different types of places have distinct audio signatures, so you can learn the soundscape of a neighborhood by ear. Map data can be downloaded for offline use.

Who's behind it

Sonora is built by Adrian Bravo, an independent developer.

Accessibility & contact

Sonora is built for accessibility first. If you run into a barrier — in the app or on this site — please let me know. Feedback from users directly shapes how this is built.
